Dr. Edward de Bono celebrates his 85th anniversary

Famous philosopher and thinker Edward de Bono's 85th birthday ceremony took place in Malta under the patronage of Maltese President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca. On behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation, Mrs. Müjgan Suver and Dr. Akkan Suver as well as Dr. de Bono's students from all over the world participated in the event.

President Marie-Louise Coleiro, who held the opening speech of Dr. de Bono's "New Forms of Governance" event, said that he created an opportunity for Malta.

As honorary speaker of the event, Dr. Akkan Suver, presented a paper entitled "Good servant, bad mentor". The speech was followed by Maltese businessman Angelo Xuereb's horizon tour on Dr. de Bono's thoughts. In the ceremonies held at the Historical Verdala Palace, Dr. Suver also talked about the suffering of war in terms of immigration in our region. During the two-day events, the importance of establishing the Ministry of Thought was emphasized.

V sedemdesetletni karieri je ustvaril več kot 230 gledaliških in filmskih vlog. Julija bi dopolnil 96 let. Zapustil nam je veliko in je dober zgled prihodnjim generacijam.

Dr. Akkan Suver was awarded a Royal Medal

Marmara Group Foundation’s President Dr. Akkan Suver was awarded a Royal Medal by Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania

 

 

Due to his works in terms of peace and dialogue in the Balkans, Marmara Group Foundation President Dr.Akkan Suver was awarded the rank of the Officer of the Order of the Crown of Romania, by Her Majesty Margareta, Custodian of the Crown of Romania. The investiture ceremony took place at the Royal Palatul Elisabeta on March 26th, 2018 in Bucharest.

 

Together with Turkish Ambassador Koray Ertaş, renowned academicians as well as Members of the Romanian Parliament were present at the investiture ceremony, which was given to a Turk for the first time in the history of the Romanian Royal Family. On behalf of the Marmara Group Foundation, Şamil Ayrım and his spouse Gülhan Ayrım attended the investiture ceremony.

Dr. Suver made the following statement regarding the investiture ceremony: “I am grateful to the Romanian nation and the Royal Family. The Romanian nation generously gave me various rewards over the years. The Constanta State Maritime University awarded me a Doctor Honoris Causa, the International Black Sea Caspian Sea Foundation honored me with a presidency, the Romanian Embassy to Ankara gave me a Honorary Award and Prime Minister Victor Ponta presented me a Peace Award. I thank the Romanian nation for this medal in the name of Turkish civil society.”

 

 

 

The Ambassador of Knowledge Mr Angelo Xuereb was 21st March 2018 awarded the prestigious Award

 

The Award was launched in the US in  1986, but was only launched in Malta last year, so he’s the second Maltese person to achieve this Award.

This Award promotes entrepreneurship and empowers entrepreneurs to grow their businesses both locally and around the world.  

 
In June 2018 he will travel to Monaco where he will be representing Malta  to compete against another 60 Award winners selected from 5000 nominees from 60 countries.
 
 
He will be competing  for the grand prize , EY World Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Local business leader receives honoury ambassadorship

Mr. Angelo Xuereb was recently appointed Ambassador of Knowledge for the Life Learning Academia in Slovenia. This honour was presented to Mr. Xuereb in view of his tremendous achievements and successes that have spanned decades. As an acknowledged expert in the areas of entrepreneurship and hospitality, Mr. Xuereb brings a number of skills such as diligence, credibility and ethics as well as a high level of knowledge that will undoubtedly benefit future generations.

As an Ambassador of Knowledge Mr. Xuereb will meet students from the Academia and will be able to confer awards for a particular achievement during their studies. “It is truly an honour as well as a responsibility to accept such a title,” said Mr. Xuereb. “I look forward to meeting with the students and mentoring them where possible.” He added. This honoury title was bestowed by the Minister of Economy, Slovenia,   Dr Zdravka Pocivalsek, together with the Life Learning Academia Director, Ms Marjetka Kastner.

The Life Learning Academia is an organization for certification, professional management and integration processes in the field of knowledge. Amongst other Ambassadors of Knowledge from various countries, is Dr Edward De Bono who is a world reknown leader in Lateral Thinking.

Slovenija: Od sinoči dalje ima Slovenija tudi ambasadorje znanja

V prijetnem okolju viteške dvorane v Cekinovem gradu v Ljubljani so sinoči predstavili in razglasili 52 ambasadorjev znanja. Ne gre za diplomate, gre pa za znane in uspešne osebnosti, kot je povedala v slavnostnem nagovoru predsednica Učeče se organizacije Andreja Jernejčič Vizjak. Obrazložila je, da so ambasadorji znanj tisti, ki bodo mladim, ki bodo izstopali v praksi, z izvirnostjo pri delu in projektih, skratka izstopali od povprečja podeljevali priznanja imenovana Referenca. Z njo bo imel mlad kader več možnosti ali bolj odprta vrata pri zaposlitvi.

V nadaljevanju je izpostavila še, da so za ambasadorje znanj določili uveljavljene znane osebnosti, z znanjem in izkušnjami, v okolju prepoznane, ki delujejo v večjih organizacijah ali različnih okoljih in so mladim zaradi tega zanimivi.

Ambasador znanj namreč pomeni, da prenašajo znanje medgeneracijsko iz starejših in izkušenih mentorjev na mlade, torej vse, ki še študirajo.

Kaj je namen Učeče se organizacije?

Vsi, ki se bodo v organizaciji šele zaposlili, ali tisti, ki so že zaposleni, vedo, da v taki organizaciji lahko računajo na to, da se bodo nadgradili v obstoječih znanjih. Prav tako bodo znanja sami delili na sodelavce. Zavedajo se, da so takšne organizacije bolj uspešne. Učeča se organizacija ustvarja lastno znanje, pripravljena deliti znotraj in zunaj podjetja ter je tudi družbeno odgovorna.

Program podelitva sta popestrila vrhunski violinist Matija Krečič ter stand-up komik in novinar Janez Usenik.
