Turan Hançerli

Župan občine Avcılar
Turan Hançerli se je rodil leta 1975 v Tokatu. Leta 1999 je diplomiral na Pravni fakulteti Univerze v Istanbulu, leta 2011 pa je magistriral iz gospodarskega prava na Univerzi Bilgi. Je zastopnik za blagovne znamke in patente ter aktivno dela kot odvetnik. Leta 1993 je imel nesrečo, postal je 95-odstotni invalid in uporablja dve protezi. Govori angleško in srednje nemško. Na lokalnih volitvah leta 2014 je bil iz Republikanske ljudske stranke izvoljen za člana občinskega sveta Avcılar. Bil je tudi predsednik pravne komisije, invalidske komisije in komisije za okolje. Na lokalnih volitvah leta 2019 je bil izvoljen za župana mesta Avcılar.

Gospod Turan je zaščitni znak za blagovne znamke in patente, poleg tega pa ima znanje in izkušnje s področij javnih naročil, arbitraže, domačih in tujih podjetij, mednarodnega gradbenega
in odškodninskega prava. Trenutno je podpredsednik Turškega združenja invalidov za pravne zadeve.
Opravil je več kot 150 seminarjev in panelnih razprav o pravicah, diskriminaciji in organiziranosti invalidnosti.
Spodbudil je turško kolektivno gibanje za invalide. Invalidom je omogočil skupna sporočila za javnost in sestanke po vsej državi.  obljubiltransparentno občino in enakost.

Mayor, Avcılar Municipality
Turan Hançerli was born in 1975 in Tokat. He received his undergraduate degree from Istanbul University, Faculty of Law in 1999 and his Master’s degree in Economic Law from Bilgi University in 2011. He is a trademark and patent attorney and actively works as a lawyer. He had an accident in 1993, became 95% disabled and uses two arm prostheses. He speaks English and intermediate German. In 2014 Local Elections, he was elected as Avcılar Municipality Council Member from the Republican People’s Party. He also served as the Chairman of the Law Commission, Disabled and Environment Commissions. He was elected as the mayor of Avcılar in the 2019 local elections.

He is also a Trademark and Patent Attorney at the same time. In addition, he has knowledge and experience in the fields of Public Procurement, Arbitration, Domestic and Foreign companies, Joint-venture, International Construction Law and FIDIC Contracts, Construction Contracts against Floors and Compensation Law. He currently serves as the Vice President of Legal Affairs of Turkey Disabled Association.

He has delivered over 150 seminars and panel discussions on Disability Rights, Discrimination and Organization. He has voluntarily followed dozens of cases before the Council of State and local courts on behalf of disabled and disabled associations. He played an active role in the enactment of Article 6 of the Law no. 6770.

He also advocated with the TGNA and the Party Groups regarding many legislative changes. He encouraged Disabled collective movement of Turkey and to make merit-based studies. He
enabled disabled people to hold joint press releases and meetings throughout the country. On behalf of the Federation and the Confederation, he has prepared opinions, proposals and
draft laws on the laws discussed at the Turkish Grand National Assembly, mainly Turkey Disabled Association.
In the last Local Government presidential elections held in Turkey, he was nominated by CHP for being Mayor of Istanbul / Avcilar. With "No obstacle to share life!" slogan, Hon. Turan Hançerli promised a transparent municipality and equality to Avcılar. He said he would do politics by labor, not by money, and when he became Mayor, he said he would first pay the workers and he won.
Thus, the life of Turkey’s first disabled Mayor Turan “was an example of success.”for to those who stop fighting.
