Mr. Marko Drobnič – President of Talum d.d.

He was born on October 17, 1974 in Ptuj. After finishing high school in Ptuj, he continued his studies at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology in Ljubljana. He graduated in 1998 and received the title of university graduate chemist. In 1998, he received the Krka Award for his research diploma work.

He joined the Talum company in 1999. During his employment with the company, he enrolled in the master’s degree program in technical environmental protection at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Maribor. Due to the nature of his work as a project manager in the company, he passed the project manager exams at the Slovenian Association for Project Management. He is an internal auditor with a certificate for the ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO/TS 16494 and ISO 17025 systems. He has worked in various areas within the company. At the beginning, he was involved in the implementation of the ISO 14001 standard in Talum. Since 2001, he has been employed in Development as a project manager. On the Modernization of primary aluminum production project -II. phase was responsible for the realization of four projects in the field of production of washers and foundry alloys. He led the project for the renovation of the Talum Administrative Building and in 2005-2007 the Smelting of Waste Aluminum project, with which the company Talum began actively transforming its production processes in the direction of the use and processing of waste aluminum. In 2008 and 2009, he actively participated in the company’s development projects in the field of renewable energy sources. He was responsible for the construction of a wood-based biomass boiler for the heating needs of greenhouses in the subsidiary company Revital and for the construction of the largest photovoltaic power plant at the time at the abandoned red mud dump in Kidričevo.

In 2009, he became the assistant to the President of the Management Board and at the same time was responsible for the corporate reorganization of the Talum company into a group of affiliated companies, which was successfully launched on January 1, 2011.

In 2004, he was appointed to the Talum Supervisory Board by the Talum Workers’ Council as an employee representative. He completed his mandate in 2011. In April 2011, he became the president of the Talum Management Board. At the beginning of 2011, he became a member of the board of the Styrian Chamber of Commerce, and since June 2011 he has also been its vice president. He has been a member of the Association of Managers of Slovenia since 2011, and in October 2013 he became the president of the Ptuj Manager Club. In November 2013, he became the vice-president of the Regional Development Council of Spodnja Podravje, and since December 2013 he has been a member of the Development Council of the Podravje region. In September 2014, he became the president of the board of the V OBME SKUPNOSTI KIDRIČEVO Foundation.

He is an active sportsman, as since his young competitive years he likes to hold a tennis racket in his hand, and recently also a bowling ball. In the spare time he has left, he prefers to spend time socializing with his lifelong companion.

Mr Marko Drobnič – President of Talum d.d.

Rodil se je 17. 10. 1974 na Ptuju. Po končani gimnaziji na Ptuju je nadaljeval študij na Fakulteti za kemijo in kemijsko tehnologijo v Ljubljani. Diplomiral je leta 1998 in dobil naziv univerzitetni diplomirani kemik. Za svoje raziskovalno diplomsko delo je leta 1998 prejel Krkino nagrado.

V družbi Talum se je zaposlil leta 1999. V času zaposlitve v družbi se je vpisal na magistrski študijski program tehniškega varstva okolja na fakulteti za strojništvo v Mariboru. Zaradi narave dela kot vodja projektov v družbi je opravil izpite za vodjo projektov pri slovenskem združenju za projektni managment. Je notranji presojevalec s certifikatom za sisteme ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, ISO/TS 16494 in ISO 17025. Delal je na različnih področjih v okviru družbe. Na začetku se je ukvarjal z implementacijo standarda ISO 14001 v družbi Talum. Od leta 2001 je bil zaposlen v Razvoju kot vodja projektov. Na projektu Modernizacije proizvodnje primarnega aluminija -II. faza je bil odgovoren za realizacijo štirih projektov na področju proizvodnje rondelic in livarskih zlitin. Vodil je projekt prenove Upravne zgradbe Talum in v letih 2005-2007 projekt Pretaljevanje odpadnega aluminija s katerim je družba Talum začela z aktivnim preoblikovanjem svojih proizvodnih procesov v smeri uporabe in predelave odpadnega aluminija. V letih 2008 in 2009 je aktivno sodeloval pri razvojnih projektih družbe na področju obnovljivih virov energije. Odgovoren je bil za izgradnjo kotlovnice na lesno biomaso za potrebe ogrevanja rastlinjakov v odvisni družbi Revital in za izgradnjo takrat največje fotovoltaične elektrarne na opuščeni deponiji rdečega blata v Kidričevem.

V letu 2009 je postal pomočnik predsednika Uprave in hkrati odgovoren za korporativno reorganizacijo družbe Talum v koncernsko obliko povezanih družb, ki je uspešno zaživela s 1. 1. 2011.

V letu 2004 je bil s strani Sveta delavcev Talum kot predstavnik zaposlenih imenovan v nadzorni svet družbe Talum. Mandat je zaključil v letu 2011. Aprila leta 2011 je postal predsednik Uprave Taluma. V začetku leta 2011 je postal član upravnega odbora Štajerske gospodarske zbornice, od junija 2011 pa je tudi njegov podpredsednik. Od leta 2011 je član Združenja Manager Slovenije, oktobra 2013 je postal predsednik Manager kluba Ptuj. V novembru 2013 je postal podpredsednik Območnega razvojnega sveta Spodnje Podravje, od decembra 2013 pa je član Razvojnega sveta regije Podravje. V septembru 2014 je postal predsednik uprave Ustanove V OBJEMU SKUPNOSTI KIDRIČEVO.

Je aktiven športnik saj že od mladih tekmovalnih let v roko rad prime teniški lopar, v zadnjem času pa tudi bovling kroglo. V prostem času, ki mu ostaja, pa se z življenjsko spremljevalko najraje posveča družni.
