Dr. Nejc Brezovar has a University degree in Law and a Ph.D. in Legal Sciences. He finished his master’s degree in Administrative Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana in 2012, and in 2015 his Ph.D. in Constitutional Law. Since 2008 he has been an assistant lecturer and researcher (for the field of Constitution Arrangement) at the Faculty of Administration, University of Ljubljana. In June 2016, he was appointed to the post of State Secretary. Between 2014 and 2016 he was an adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia in the Office of the Prime Minister, a member of Ljubljana’s City Council and member of State Electoral Commission. He perfected his knowledge at various international conferences across Europe. He is a member of the Scientific Council of the Institute for Constitutional Law at the Faculty of Law of University of Ljubljana and a member of the Society for Constitutional Law of the Republic of Slovenia. He is the author of many articles relating to his area of work, such as public administration, local self government, human rights. Dr. Nejc Brezovar still does complementary work at the Faculty of Administration of the University of Ljubljana.
