Ombudsman’s expert service

Martina Ocepek graduated in law from the University of Maribor. After her first job in the business sector she has been a public employee since 1994. In 2001 she became an adviser to the Human Rights Ombudsman of the Republic of Slovenia in matters concerning the environment, spatial planning, activities affecting the environment, administrative affairs and procedures, property issues, denationalisation and taxes. Since 2013 she has headed the Ombudsman’s expert service.

 

She is also the author of numerous papers on state administration, environmental protection and public health. She mentors trainees in the Ombudsman’s expert service, and senior year students and graduation candidates as part of the Legal Clinic for Refugees and Foreigners at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana. She has presented her expert contributions at international conferences in Slovenia and abroad, and completed training for mediators.
