Marta Strgar

International Knowledge Coordinator

She attended grammar school in Novo mesto (Srednja šola naravoslovno-matematične usmeritve), while studying economics. She finished Master’s degree at the Faculty of Economics, program of Masters and Business Administration, the direction of Finance. After graduating, she returned to Novo mesto, where she lives and works today. The first job she found in Ljubljanska banka, where she specialized for Controller of international payment transactions. Later she was employed by Krka, where at first was a Head of the International Payment Department, then also domestic paymentswere connected to her department. After completing of Master’s degree she began to deal with international issues of taxation in the area of transfer pricing and today she is responsible for this area in the Krka Group, which has its own companies (and the requirements laid down by the taxadmin istrations of those countries) in 27 foreign countries.

She is constantly facing the management and coordination of the co-workers in the workplace and she also has already been a mentor at work to many young people during their performance of compulsory school practice.

Appropriate social and organizational skills and competences, in addition to practice, she was acquiring and is still developing in management’s training seminars, which enables and encourages her employer Krka. As an external mentor and coordinator with the project Ambassadors of Knowledge, she was invited by the founder of the project Marjetka Kastner.

By facilitating the development of competencies of young potentials which are looking for their chances on the labor market, she adopted that invitation as her voluntary contribution to the interests of the wider social community.
